We are offering a unique opportunity to become part of a young and strong organisation, which uses a number of exciting development and marketing projects to work towards sustainable tourism development in the municipalities of Varde and Ringkøbing Skjern.
If you’re a digital trendsetter with an eye for great design, you might be just the person we’re looking for to join our marketing team. Our new digital manager should have well-documented analytical and communication capabilities – and a broad set of experiences within digital marketing.
Your primary task will be the major reconstruction and future ongoing maintenance of quality content on our website, which is built on the Visit Denmark ASP CMS platform in Drupal 8/9.
You will ensure user-related and brand-creating CTA content on both the website and across platforms. It would therefore be a great advantage if you have previous experience with web design and UX – as well as an understanding of delivering differentiated communication adapted to the customer journey and target group segments.
This includes preparing flowcharts and wireframes, setting up mobile-friendly seasonal and campaign-based landing pages.
You will be responsible for our online performance, which you will help to set up and measure KPIs for, which is why an in-depth knowledge of Google Analytics tools, analysis and reporting, as well as SEO and SEM in practice are crucial qualifications.
We expect you to have experience in optimising conversion rates and user-funnels. Furthermore, we also anticipate that you have the necessary insight into statutory online documentation, GDPR, web accessibility, etc.
You will be responsible for our digital campaigns, including purchasing, set-up, ongoing optimisation and tracking of performance across platforms. We expect you to have experience in all these areas.
Although we do not currently use marketing automation tools, it would be an advantage if you have experience working with them.
Other tasks and roles include optimisation of our e-mail marketing set-up, participation in data collaborations and projects with other destination companies and nationwide organisations, as well as a joint West Coast APP (digital wayfinding and experience communication).
You should be able to work in a structured manner, with the ability to prepare and follow the annual cycle and action plans – in order to ensure interaction with your team members and the rest of the organisation.
You will report to the marketing and development manager, who will also work closely with you on digital strategy, brand and campaign ideas. You will collaborate with the SoMe manager and the journalistic manager on the production and distribution of new content, and with the Guide Danmark database manager on the optimisation of the tourism products that form the core of Destination Vesterhavet’s online member service and experience communication. You will collaborate with Visit Denmark’s developer team on programming and development wishes.
It is an advantage if you have management experience, but it is not a necessity by all means.
However, it is crucial that you are able to take responsibility and show direction for the tasks associated with digital development, just as you should be able to provide clear task briefings to suppliers and colleagues in a pleasant and efficient manner.
Most working days will be in the office at Hvide Sande. Some of us have a long journey to get there, but it’s raw and beautiful – with lovely beaches, some of Europe’s finest surf spots, harbour and restaurants right on the doorstep.
There is an informal and direct tone among the 12 permanent and 8 hourly-paid employees. In the office we communicate with many external contacts, including all our members (tourism collaborators) and partners.
We laugh loudly in our open office environment, but also have quiet work areas and expensive noice-cancelling headphones. We are outgoing and curious – and hope you are the same?
We help each other by challenging assumptions. We are action-oriented and not afraid to test ourselves until we find the best solutions.
We are offering a permanent position with pay according to qualifications, a good pension and health insurance.
To find out more about the job, call Vibeke Birk on +45 2129 1523 or send an e-mail to email@example.com.
The advertisement is valid until 15 September, but interviews will be conducted on an ongoing basis until the right candidate has been found.
