Æresbænken

The "Æresbænken" in Skjern was built in 1999, and was designed by Frede Sørensen, decorated by Peter Henze and produced by Dan-Intra and Randers Jernstøberi. "Æresbænken" is a prize from the bench's previous location on Banegårdspladsen and Banktorvet in Skjern named Ringkøbing county's most beautiful in a competition to mark "Building Culture Day". Today, "Æresbænken" is located in front of the doctor's office facing Bredgade in Skjern.

"Firkløverbænken", which is also called the "Æresbænken", was built in 1999, designed by Frede Sørensen, decorated by Peter Henze and produced by Dan-Instra and Randers Jernstøberi. "Æresbænken" is located in front of the doctor's office facing Bredgade in Skjern, and was originally located on Banegårdspladsen south of restaurant Pakhuset.

In 1999 the Station Square and the Bank Square were named Ringkøbing countys most beautiful in a competition to mark the "Building of culture day." Three judges from Ringkøbing county selected Skjern Municipality square to the county's finest amongst 6 submissions. With the title came a 4-leaf clover shape of the bench, which is made of wood and cast iron with reliefs of cattle.
