Danish Windmill Day - Skjern Windmühle

On 19 June, it is Dansk Mølledag [Danish Windmill Day] all over the country! And of course, this holiday is also celebrated at Skjern Windmill. So come with us that day and discover the old windmill in Skjern.

Even though it may seem like wind turbines are something new, there is nothing new about using wind energy in Denmark. Wind power has actually been used since the Middle Ages! Gradually, we went from the large stump mills to the Dutch wind turbines, and that is exactly what Skjern Windmill is like.

And after years of gentle renovation, the windmill is again ready to paint.

Inside the windmill, it will also be possible to see the household guild doing a variety of smaller crafts.
