Hike from Mandø
Join us on a unique walk across the seabed from Mandø to the mainland. The meeting point for the tour is the Wadden Sea Centre, where a short introduction will take place. Afterwards you will be transported to Mandø by ‘Traktorbussen’.
When the water level is low, you can walk along an old Ebbevej across the seabed back to the mainland. The seabed is teeming with life, including sandworms, oysters and crabs, and birds are busy foraging in the salt marshes and mudflats. A nature guide will accompany you on the tour and talk about life in the Wadden Sea National Park, UNESCO and the history of Mandø. The tour is about 8 km long and is suitable for children from 8 years old. Please note that the walk goes over muddy and uneven seabed.
