Join us for Christmas cosiness at Bork Vikingehavn

It's cold and dark outside, the wind is howling and the frost is biting your cheeks. But inside the Viking houses, it's warm and cosy as they prepare for the upcoming holiday season.

On the weekend of 23 and 24 November, you can experience a Viking Christmas - or jól, as they called it - at Bork Vikingehavn.

It doesn't quite look like the Christmas we know today - but maybe a little. Our Santa's distant relative was a wattle, which the Vikings worshipped as a household god. Come and hear the miller talk about the vættten in the Viking watermill.

Step inside the Viking houses, where crafts and stories fill the room with warmth and cosiness. The Vikings are busy preparing food to see them through a long and dark winter.

In the Viking harbour's beautiful stave church, you can light a candle and enjoy the atmosphere of the Vikings' new religion, Christianity. And in the Viking Hall, you can sit down and enjoy a tasty snack.
