Litter Battle in Hvide Sande: North vs. South
Grab the family, a neighbour or a colleague – Saturday the 18th of April is the day of the year's most entertaining nature event in Hvide Sande. The great Litter Battle North vs. South is back, and this time we're going for more than last year's 120 kg record.

Hvide Sande splits into two rival teams when the beloved Litter Battle returns. Show up at Hvide Sande Sportsfiskercenter at 10 AM and get ready for two hours of friendly competition – all in the name of a cleaner coastline.
When: Saturday 18 April, 10:00 AM–12:00 PM
Where: Meet at Hvide Sande Sportsfiskercenter
What: Litter picking in competitive format – North vs. South
Who: Everyone – families, friends, neighbours and visitors are all welcome
After the battle: Grilled sausages, sides and a cold drink for all participants
Organiser: Local volunteers in collaboration with Danmarks Naturfredningsforening (Denmark's Nature Conservation Association)
Last year the South team went on the offensive, pulling in 80 kg, while the North team collected 40 kg – with style. Together, 120 kilos of litter were cleared from the town. Now the battle calls again, and ambitions are high.
The Hvide Sande battle is one of three simultaneous clean-up efforts across Holmsland Klit: Søndervig Centerforening and Holmsland Klit Turistforening are leading an effort in Søndervig, and OMHU is organising a beach clean in Hvide Sande. Together, we hope to make a real difference – for nature, for the local community, and for the many visitors who come to enjoy this stretch of coastline.
Because even though only one team takes the trophy, there's really only one true winner: the nature around Hvide Sande.
