The granite symbolizes the powerful, rock-solid West-Jutland community.The metal parts the modern dynamic community, railway, trade life, technology and more. The water flowing down the column in 2 tracks, symbolizes Skjern river´s course through the countryside on its way out of Ringkøbing fiord: The big round basin, which forms the base of the sculpture. Over the years, the sculpture wil have additional coloring: The corten steel will be rust red, the bronze will be irgreen and the tombac, brass remain in blacks.

Idea man: Arkitekt Erik Nobel, Copenhagen.
Year of construction: 04-07-1996.
Materials: Light reddish granite monolith, Tombak/brass and corten steel/bronze. With light and fountain.
