In Denmark, we have a long tradition of Put and Take fishing, partly because it is the most accessible form of fishing and everyone can participate. The lakes are usually family and disabled-friendly, and with regular releases of often several hundred kilos of trout at a time, the conditions for catching trout are excellent. The most commonly stocked trout is the rainbow trout, a beautiful fish that can be recognised by the purple tinge on the cheek and down the side. The rainbow trout tastes great, puts up a good fight when you hook it and can be caught in a myriad of ways. This makes this type of fishing appealing to everyone, whether you're a beginner or a seasoned fisherman, there are great and fun experiences to be had at the put and take lakes.

Put and take fishing can be done all year round and depending on the time of year you choose to go, nature has something to offer. At the put and take lakes, there are always tables and benches where you can sit while fishing, when taking breaks or if you're just along for the ride.
