Som Os are a quintet that refuses to be pinned down. Their debut album Mosaik (2023) showed just how far folk music can stretch — from rock and funk through jazz to the many folk traditions the five musicians collectively carry with them. Their instrumental music tells stories: of places, situations and experiences the band has shared and shaped together.
Recognition has followed: at DMA Roots in November 2024, Som Os took home the award for Best New Act, while the album was simultaneously nominated for Best Roots Release. The quintet has performed at some of Denmark's biggest folk festivals, including Tønder Festival, Nordic Folk Alliance, Musik over Præstø Fjord and Copenhagen Jazz Festival.
Like all the concerts during Jazz-dage '26, this one is free and played right at eye level with the audience — outdoors, in the open air, in the heart of Hvide Sande.
Som Os are:
- Annelene Toft Christensen – violin
- Tim Ewé Jensen – cornet/trumpet
- Jakob Kragesand – double bass
- Michael Hornhaver – guitar
- Chris Falkenberg – drums
