Generator - On days off

With their own songs and a handful of carefully selected covers of American folk classics, On Days Off blend sounds from a variety of roots genres, including old-time music, country, western swing and bluegrass. Spencer Gross (DK/US) and Soluna Samay (DK/DE), both children of travelling buskers, found their musical footing on the streets of Europe, where their love of American folk and roots music was born. Two-part harmonies, honesty and humour: On Days Off write music that reflects on everyday life, with songs about dogs, relationships and the challenges that modern technology and political trends bring to our times.

The voices harmonise beautifully, whilst the music is characterised by a playful approach to both instrumental and vocal passages. On stage, all this is delivered with musical exuberance, honesty and groove. On Days Off are joined by double bassist Mads Bendsen.
