Generator - Dissing & Las

When Povl Dissing passed away in the summer of 2022, he left behind not only a void in Danish musical culture – he left behind a priceless treasure trove of songs. A legacy that is now being carried on by those who knew him best: Rasmus, Jonas and Las – his musical sons and faithful travelling companions for 25 years on the road.

With the project ‘Povl’s Songs Live On’, the trio Dissing & Las take the audience on a journey through time, melodies and lyrics. From songs passed down from Povl’s own parents to the poetic gems he wrote himself. From sea shanties and Laus Bengtson’s flowery ballads to the songs of travellers. Interpretations of Shel Silverstein and the era of Benny Holst, Peter Thorup and Burning Red Ivanhoe.
