Schnapps tour in Skjern Enge
The schnapps season is starting in earnest and the first exciting herbs are ready to be collected. Grab a basket and join one of Ringkøbing Fjord Museum's nature and culture guides on a cosy schnapps tour in Skjern Enge.
Gathering wild herbs and using them in schnapps has long been a way to utilise nature's resources and add unique flavours to the drink. This practice is part of West Jutland's cultural heritage and reflects the area's close connection to nature.
During the walk, the museum's nature and culture educator, Sabine, will not only talk about the relevant herbs, but also about the local nature and culture.
Tips and tricks for unique flavoured schnapps
After the walk - and with full baskets - the schnapps tour continues in Provstgaards Jagthus, where Sabine will share her best tips and tricks on how to mix your own unique spiced schnapps.
