Amber Festival-Vejers

Amber Festival-Vejers is an annual recurring event where amber is the focus. At the festival, there will be a number of fun and exciting activities, all of which have the Nordic gold as a focal point.

Amber Festival -Vejers is the only amber festival in Denmark. The festival highlights the versatility of the use of amber - all exhibitors are very different and dedicated amber artists and come from all over Europe.

The festival will also feature performances, music, dancing, and a coffee cake table. The theme for this year is Amber & Play.

The opening speech will be given on Saturday the 28th of September at 11.15am by culture chairman Sandia Eis

Ravfestival-Vejers is organised and hosted by Vejers Venner.

Amber safari:

  • From the 27th - 29th of September at 11.30 am you can go on an amber safari. Meeting point will be at Ravtorvet and the price is DKK 50 per person.

Lectures:

  • You can also experience lectures during the festival. The lectures take place at Esmark Feriehusudlejning at the address: Vejers Havvej 81, 1st floor

For children and adults

  • This year there's a playtime every day in the amber school, who doesn't want to play with amber? We do - will you join us? You can join in by messing around with amber lumps, playing tic-tac-toe with amber pieces, searching for amber in the sand, shining a light on amber and much more. You could be lucky and win amber pieces!
  • In the keserav workshop you can make your own kese.
  • In the creative workshop you can immerse yourself in creations with amber and natural materials.

Other fun activities at the amber site

  • At the Amber Square you can try the tombola, exhibitors and others have donated many great prizes
  • Folk dancing on the 28th of September at 13:30
  • Live music on the amber square during the weekend
  • Sing-along every day at 11.00am
  • Hot food, beer, water, coffee and cake
