Church service for tourists in Helligåndskirken
In August, Hvide Sande Church welcomes visitors to four special tourist services featuring community singing, music, and simultaneous translation into German. An international church experience in the heart of the summer holidays.
Every summer, Hvide Sande Church opens its doors extra wide to the coast's many visitors with four special tourist services in August. Here, Danish summer guests and international visitors gather for traditional services with something extra – a special focus on community singing and music, and the sermon is simultaneously translated into German.
The tourist services are the church's way of welcoming everyone and creating space for the international Christian community that gathers each year on the west coast. Here, Danish and German families can experience the service together, and the congregation itself is enriched by the many voices and traditions that meet beneath the summer sky by the North Sea.
