Mushroom week 2026
Nordsee Holidays organises the annual Mushroom Week for guests and locals in Blåvand and Vejers. Here you can go on free mushroom hikes with nature guides and buy a ticket for a cookery meeting - an event where local chefs create delicious dishes with mushrooms!

Throughout week 39, skilled nature guides and chefs celebrate these sought-after treasures of the forest floor.
Mushroom Week is a recurring autumn event celebrating one of the Danish West Coast’s popular local ingredients: mushrooms! The West Coast’s sandy soil and numerous dune plantations provide exceptional growing conditions for mushrooms. From August to November, you can find edible varieties such as chanterelles, porcini, bay boletes and many more.
From Monday to Thursday, free guided mushroom foraging tours take place in both the morning and afternoon. The guides will tell you which mushrooms you can pick and how to prepare them.
On Tuesday, Kokketræf – a special gathering of chefs – takes place, featuring local chefs from Brasserie Hav, Café Stranden, Hr. Skov, Høfde4, Arnbjerg Pavillonen, Dine & Wine and Nymindegab Kro.
