Spring and Easter holiday for the whole family
Take a loved one on a spring break by the North Sea.
Take a bike ride
A bicycle tour by the North Sea offers the whole family plenty of fresh air and wonderful immersion in nature. You can go out and discover the area on your own or take advantage of some of the many established routes. If you do not have space for bicycles in your bagage, there are plenty of options for bicycle rentals in the area.
Visit the bunkers
Go out and discover the many bunkers that lie along the west coast as relics of World War II, when they served as part of the Atlantic Ramparts, Nazi Germany’s massive defences against an invasion from the west. The bunkershave been damaged by water, sand and time, but they are still exciting to explore.
Discover the beach from a different angle – and with a surfboard under your feet! At WestWind there you can try out different types of surfing – on the fjord as well as on the sea. WestWind offers courses in windsurfing, kitesurfing and stand-up paddleboarding (SUP).
Hang with the Vikings
At Bork Viking Harbour, you can take a trip back in time, and the whole family can enjoy a historical experience. You can, for example, visit the beautiful Viking Hall, where you can play historical Viking games together while enjoying a good cup of coffee or a soft drink.
In a protected dune landscape, a team of architects have created a spectacular museum hidden under the sand. At the Tirpitz museum, built around a World War II artillery bunker, you can experience the thrilling history of the West Coast and the War, for example.
