Gl. Varde Sommerland
This twelve-hectare nature reserve offers plenty of activities for all the family. It has everything from wild shelters and playgrounds to paths with obstacles along the way, barbecue huts, toilet facilities and various relaxation oases.

Fritids og Naturparken is a mix of raw, unadorned nature, as well as flower meadows and cultivated areas with a sheep pen, apple grove and challenging activity and exercise paths.

Arnbjerg Park in Varde
Arnbjergparken is a green oasis in Varde Midtby. The park is part of a larger area called 'Skansen i Varde'. The area took its name from an historical memorial stone with the text: 'Here, Allenstein’s soldiers built a redoubt [skanse] in 1627'.

Forsøgshaven in Tarm is a garden that offers activities and experiences for big and small visitors alike. If you are exploring with the family, it makes for a great spot to spend a day in the fresh air and enjoy some quality time with each other.

Pusterummet - Large playground with bouncy castle and campfire site
Large playground with play areas for both children and adults. Here you will find a bouncy castle, a campfire site, a covered seating area, and an outdoor fitness area for adults.

Playground in Næsbjerg Townpark
The well-maintained playground has a good selection of play equipment and several nice round tables and benches right next to the playground.

Water Gardens & the Green Corridor in Skjern
Visit the Water Gardens for an extraordinary experience. The Water Gardens are part of The Green Corridor, which clings along the Kirkeå through Skjern. In the corridor, you can follow a trail system that will reveal the area’s history, nature and activity options.

Playground in Skovlund Townpark
Skovlund is located in green, scenic green areas and near the city centre is the city park with a forest, playground and benches. The city park also has two petanque courts and six croquet courts with a clubhouse.

Playground by Tambours Garden
The walk is approximately 5.3 km and is suitable for people with walking difficulties and/or families with pushchairs or prams. A visit to the Tambour Garden is also recommended. Here you can see flowers and plants from all over the world.

Nordenskov Park
The recreational area has tables and benches where you can enjoy your coffee or picnic while the kids play in the playground, which even has a bouncy castle.

Sig Naturpark playground & shelter site
The facilities include a barbecue hut and a packed lunch centre, as well as play equipment for both young and old in the playground and by the outdoor fitness machines. Ideal for hours or days of fun, why not spend the night in one of the two cosy shelters on the site.

Skovlund Townpark
In the south-east corner of Skovlund is a small forest that extends northwards. This area is called Skovlund City Park. The city park includes a playground and an open hut where tables and benches are available.

Tistrup Playground
The area is furnished with several tables and benches, so there is plenty of opportunity to combine play with a few cosy hours with a packed lunch.

In addition to the beautiful lake, there is a well-functioning playground and a packed lunch centre with room for 12 people. There is a barbecue for free use.
