Varde
In recent years, Varde has changed. It now has vibrant urban spaces, pedestrian streets, squares and shopping centres.
The old market town of Varde have been extensively refurbished. Varde intend to become Denmark´s finest art town.
Varde have received large private donations to fund sculpural works to furnish the city centre and the etablishment of Varde Garten, which is an impressive sculpture park with a sensitively restored restaurant environment.
Varde Å stream flows through the old Varde Sommerland. In just a few short years, local volunteers have transformed the area into a recreational park, which invites you to explore these wonderful natural sorroundings. The area offers shelters, fitness trails and quiet benches, where visitors can rest and enjoy the view across the stream, wooden bridges and the most recent addition, The Giant´s Kingdom.
