Plantations & dune plantations

This dune plantation of the Danish West coast consists of beautiful pine trees. On one side, you will find the North Sea, on the other side, Filsø lake. Kærgård Klitplantage is filled with stories about nature and contamination cases.

Gulddalslund Plantation by Skovlund is what we call a local gem, i.e., a place designated by locals as something very special. Information about local gems is often sparse. They are local. They are gems. Recommended by others. They need to be discovered and, not least, experienced.

Snogdal Plantage is a very hilly forest with large, fallen trees and a rich birdlife. It offers different trails with lengths that are suitable for both hiking and cycling. If you have the kids in tow then Snogdal Plantage is an ideal spot for an adventure and if you’re lucky, you may even spot a raven.

The river Varde Å runs through the manor Nørholm Gods, which includes several listed landscape types such as inland dunes, heaths, meadows, moors and pastures.

The sanded-over oak forest is several hundred years old and the trees have been covered by shifting sands over time. This is clearly evident when new leaves emerge in spring. There are several marked paths around the oak thicket from the parking area by Peterholm tårnet.

Blaabjerg plantation has a very exciting nature. There is dunes, coast, "mountains", moor, oak scrubs and plantation. You may also be lucky enough to see some of the deer that also live in the plantation.

The heath area Borris Hede is 4,720 hectares big, making it Denmark’s biggest heath area with a diverse plant and animal life. The grounds are used by the Danish Armed Forces for target practice.

This lovely dune plantation is planted with gorgeous tree species and equipped with great hiking trails. Moreover, the plantation is filled with interesting stories about the past on the Danish West coast.

Come and explore Skjern Birk Plantage which spans across a whole 46 hectares of land and offers no shortage of walking, riding and cycling trails. The plantation is also home to Sortedams Sø which is a small lake with picnic tables.

Dejbjerg Plantation is a nature area close to Skjern, Denmark. Fill up your water bottle, go for a walk on one of the many hiking trails and experience the Danish nature and history.

Go to Dejbjerg Hede and experience Danish nature and history. The heath is known for its many ancient mounds and church towers, the beautiful nature and the stories about the areas former outcasts, the gipsies.

Bordrup Dune Plantation is a beautiful nature area, close to Oksbøl, Blåvand and Vejers. Here, you will find fun activities for your entire family. Go for a spin on your mountain bike, take your dog for a walk, have fun on the forest playground or toast a marshmallow on a bonfire.

Only few places in West Jutland offer you the view of a gorge like Ulvedalen in the plantation Bjørslev Plantage. Just a few steps from the parking area, you can enjoy the grand view over landscape formations, which ice and melted water created about 130,000 years ago.

Ansager Plantage is more than just walks between the forest trees – it offers quality experiences for the whole family. The playground is located in the middle of the forest and is well-equipped with various play equipment of good quality.
